Get A Quick Skin Refresh for the Holidays

Look your best for the Holiday Season!


If you haven't seen your friends or family since last year's holidays, you may consider how you look when you see them again. We all want to shine and dazzle at the big party! But, during this time of year we are rushing around living on limited sleep and likely some poor eating. "Do I look alright?" is a common question we ask ourselves (or our better half). It is a busy season and I want to share a few quick, no fuss tips to keep your skin looking its best this holiday.


You can a skin makeover in four simply steps:


1. Get enough rest and try to get six to eight hours of good sleep.  Why is this so important?  You can never get back what you lost in sleep and that is your time to heal and rejuvenate. According to Healthline, " Dark under-eye circles are a hallmark sign that someone has been burning the midnight oil." It goes on to explain that dry skin and cheek hallows are also a result of sleep deprivation.

2.  Drink enough water!  Make it festive by adding lemons, limes, oranges or cucumber water.  Mayo Clinic says that men should drink 15.5 cups a day and women should drink 11.5. Keeping hydrated makes skin more permeable, boosting its health and elasticity. You will be amazed how your skin will look!

3.  Keep it clean! A nightly routine to remove makeup and wash your face is very important.  It will take away the day's dirt and impurities. Nourish your face with a good moisturizer for the winter. Don’t forget your eyes with a enriched eye cream. Your skin will love it and you will feel great doing it.

4.  Try to get a facial sometime during the winter months. Not only is it a good way to relax and care for yourself, but you will get rid of dead skin and benefit from the accompanying facial massage. Healthline says that it can improve the appearance of fullness and increase blood flow. You will thank yourself for the refresher and beautiful glow afterwards.
