There are a couple things that divide us up at Christmas time. One is the debate between white twinkle lights or multi-color. The other is a preference for a real or fake tree. For those supporting the real tree argument, it is time to grab the family and go looking for that perfect evergreen Christmas tree.
New Jersey has plenty of options for fresh trees and wreaths. Many garden centers and farms offer a variety of tree types and sizes. Many even let you cut your own! Douglas fir, Blue spruce and Balsam fir are popular species in the garden state. Most counties boast at least one farm, but rural locations obviously have more places to visit. Wherever you live, you may want to take a day trip with lunch, holiday shopping and some hot chocolate along the way. Here are some popular locations. Be sure to check hours and open dates before you go.
